Specialty Coatings Inc. provides access to product and manufacturer documentation for customers who require additional information for quality, traceability, compliance, or project records.
Documentation may include Safety Data Sheets (SDS), Certificates of Conformance (C of C), Certificates of Compliance, manufacturer certificates, test reports, batch or lot information, and other product-specific documentation.
Documentation Requests
To ensure accuracy and proper traceability, document requests must be made at the time of checkout whenever the applicable documentation option is available for purchase.
Documentation may be offered as an optional product or as an option directly on an eligible product page.
Examples of documentation currently offered through the SCI website include SDS documents and manufacturer's Certificates of Conformance for traceability.
Batch and Lot Information
When available, batch or lot information may be provided for products requiring traceability documentation.
Availability of specific batch, lot, manufacturing, or traceability information may depend on the product, manufacturer, supplier, and inventory source.
SCI cannot guarantee that a particular historical batch, lot, manufacturing record, or document will be available unless the documentation has been specifically confirmed before purchase.
Certificates of Conformance
A Manufacturer's Certificate of Conformance (C of C) may be available for qualifying products.
A C of C is manufacturer documentation and is subject to the information and records provided by the applicable manufacturer.
Purchasing a C of C option does not mean that SCI creates, modifies, or independently certifies the manufacturer's documentation.
Test Reports
Test reports may be available for certain aerospace and specialty products.
Availability depends on the product and manufacturer.
Where a test report is available as a product option, it must be selected and purchased with the applicable order.
Safety Data Sheets
Safety Data Sheets (SDS) may be available for products sold through SCI.
Customers requiring an SDS should select the applicable documentation option where available or contact SCI before placing an order.
Documentation Fees
Documentation options may carry an additional fee.
Documentation fees are separate from the price of the coating or other product unless specifically stated otherwise.
Because documentation may require additional processing, manufacturer requests, or order-specific handling, documentation purchases are generally non-refundable once the request has been processed.
Accuracy and Availability
SCI makes reasonable efforts to provide accurate and current documentation.
However, documents are supplied based on information made available by the applicable manufacturer or supplier. SCI does not alter manufacturer-issued documentation.
Documentation may be subject to manufacturer revisions, product revisions, formulation changes, or other updates.
Requesting Documentation After Purchase
Customers who require documentation after an order has already been placed should contact SCI as soon as possible.
Additional documentation may not be available after the order has been processed, particularly when the request requires specific batch, lot, or traceability information that was not requested at checkout.
Additional fees may apply.
Customer Responsibility
Customers are responsible for determining which documentation is required for their application, project, quality system, customer requirements, or regulatory obligations.
